About Us

Stewart and Doris were married in June 1980 and lived in Mexborough ever since. Stewart originally came from nearby Swinton and Doris from Thurnscoe. Togther we had 2 children: Claire who was born in September 1989, and Paul who was born im June 1991. Stewart was educated at Mexborough Grammar School ans Leeds Polytechnic. On graduatin from Leeds Polytechnic he started working for Trent Regional Health Authority in Sheffield. He has also worked at South Yorkshire County Council and Sheffield City Council before joining Fujitsu (Formerly ICL) in 1986. He has now retired. Stewart is very active charity and community work especially with Lions (Stewart also manages the websites for a number of clubs) and formrrly Avalunch Communiy Services (unfortunately now closed). Stewart enjoys walking and gardening. Doris was educated at Thurnsco Comprehensive School. On leaving school she initially trained for a nursing career but, due to a medical condition, left that to work for the Department of Health and Social Security. She worked for DHSS both in Doncaster and Wath-upon-Dearrn before leaving due to the birth of Claire in 1989. Doris was very active charity and community work especially with St. John Ambulance, Lions and formrrly Avalunch Communiy Services (unfortunately now closed). Claire was educated at Mexourough School. On leaving school she started a career in the R.A.F. initially at Linton-on-Ouse and the ay R.A.F. Lossimouth where she became a much valued member of Search and Rescue and gained a promotion to Corperal. Claire left the R.A.F. when the Search and Rescue operations where privatised. Durin Claire’s R.A.F. servive she has 3 deploymnts to the Falkland Islands. Claire now works as Therapy Assistant in a specialist residential environment. Paul was also educated at Mxborough School. Paul the went to Chester University where he gained a degree in Geography. On leveing university Pauls worked for CAPITA as a representative of DWP. Paul now works as a civilian for a national criminal organisation.
